When one does as many things as Kai Lenny does, it’s nice to record some of it. In today’s day and age, as the kids say, “video or it didn’t happen.” Luckily for Kai, GoPro exists. Not only do they help him pay the bills, but they help him prove that his exploits did indeed happen. Big wave surfing POVs and day of the decade footage all comes in handy when the internet is starving for content. But Kai is not a one-trick pony. That’s part of the allure — Kai is a waterman. The term gets thrown around too much, but if there’s anyone who embodies it, it’s him.
He seems to always be on the leading edge of the next big thing. If it’s fun, he wants to do it, and he doesn’t care about what anyone says. Foiling is often on the sharp edge of the internet’s sword, but Kai is so good at it for one simple reason: he doesn’t care what the internet says. Give the man a wing and a foil and set him loose in the ocean and you’re in for a visual treat.
