The Inertia

Kai Lenny goes all in with everything he does. Whether it’s riding the heaviest waves in the world, designing a helmet to protect his brain from said waves, or hand shaping a surfboard for his twin daughters, Kai’s going full bore every time.

Tucker Wooding is the same way. The surf videographer is known for his ability to be seemingly everywhere at once. Without fail, every time a swell hits one of the world’s premiere breaks, Tucker’s there. Once on site, he captures the drama with a cinematic style that manages to truly capture the gravity and danger of those behemoths.

Of course, this makes Wooding and Lenny seem like a match made in heaven. In a recent post on Tucker Wooding’s YouTube page, that turned out to be exactly right. The video, titled Wherever Kai Roams, spans three years and follows Kai as he attacks the best big wave spots in the world, including Jaws, Maverick’s and Nazare. You have to see it to believe it.
