Ah, the Wedge. Where good surfers go to get worked like no other place on earth. At the Wedge, it’s not about making it out—it’s about pulling in. For the most part, the wipeout is a foregone conclusion. It’s simply part of the experience there, and a successful ride is just the cherry on top of a very delicious sundae. The footage you see above was shot by resident camera expert Steve Cummings (aka Jacuzzi Surfer) on May 23rd. “I filmed from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.!” he wrote. “I hope you guys enjoyed the madness. There were so many amazing barrels and epic wipeouts… I literally have HOURS of footage that I left out.”
