Jeffreys Bay is no longer a stop on the Championship Tour, but that doesn’t mean there’s any shortage of excellent waves there. In a recent video from South Africa’s surfing Mecca, surfers ride waves alongside dolphins, with a special guest appearance from Jordy Smith.
The video comes courtesy of JBAY TV. It starts off with footage of a surfer riding a wave that, while pretty incredible in its own right, is no surprise for a break like J-Bay. However, the filmer then zooms out to reveal the shadows of a pod of dolphins riding just under the surface. It’s really something that the later appearance of Jordy Smith throwing buckets of spray somehow manages to be the second most dramatic event in the video.
