Right now, John John Florence is in Australia, sitting in a hotel room doing puzzles, wondering where the Rebel base is, and pissing off his wife. The surfers are all in the midst of a two-week quarantine for the upcoming Australian leg of the tour, and by now, it’s likely they’re thinking fondly back to the time when they weren’t locked in hotel room. Times like the times you see above, where John had his last call at home before getting on the WSL’s chartered flight. Times when he was spending a few days on North Shore sandbars, testing his small wave quiver with Ross Williams and Pyzel. Good times.
