Is there anyone on tour with a better, more beautiful swooping frontside carve than John John Florence? Other than Dane, there might not be anyone performing the turn better on the planet. And of course John has much more than a swooping frontside carve in his deep repertoire. That’s why he’s won two titles. And it’s why we love to see him surf (it makes us want to go paddle out). He’s not one to let his edits flow like water, but in this case, he gives us a quick, nearly three-minute cut filled with 26 of his best waves recently at home. Rocky Point is a fine canvas for someone like JJF. The paintings always turn out beautiful.
