John Florence is freakishly talented on a surfboard. We know that already. It’s something everyone can agree on. Much like saying the sky is blue or water is wet or, as Nate would say, cats love AmSteel, it is an indisputable fact.
But what he could be forgiven for is maybe not surfing up to par on a board not meant for surfing waves. Well, it’s sort of meant for surfing waves — it’s a foil board created by Pyzel, but it doesn’t have a foil. Instead, JJF stuck in two parallel fins. And it doesn’t seem to matter in the slightest to John John Florence, who, we suspect, could surf anything vaguely resembling a surfboard better than 99 percent of the world.
