Summer isn’t exactly the best season for surfing on the North Shore, but every now and then, a surprise little bump will show up. And Jamie O’Brien will be on it… unless he’s getting barreled somewhere else. This time, he was at home, and he scored Off the Wall in decidedly winter-like conditions.
“It was a session that I didn’t expect to happen,” Jamie said from the sand afterward. “…All in all, a blessed day here on the North Shore of Oahu.”
The session went down after a full morning at the skatepark with Heimana Reynolds, an Olympic skateboarder, and Makena Kolo, a skateboarder and surfer from the Big Island. Jamie joined in, but when skating with people like Heimana and Makena, it’s hard to keep up. Pretty decent way to spend the day, though, isn’t it?
