There are a lot of things to do on the North Shore when the waves aren’t firing. Since it’s one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in the world, most of the good ones involve the ocean in some way. So when the waves weren’t on at Pipe, Mr. O’Brien pulled out the mask and snorkel and took a look at the reef below the most famous wave on earth. And then, of course, when the waves came up, he took a look at a few barrels.
