In recent years, the surf vlog has blown up. It seems like everyone has jumped on the train. There are a few who are doing it exceedingly well, though, and Jamie O’Brien and Ben Gravy are two of them. One might think they’d be in competition with each other, but there appears to be more than enough to go around. Watching one doesn’t mean you’re not watching the other. Both of them enjoy hunting for strange waves, so when Jamie and Ben met up for a river surfing session, they (and the viewer) were not disappointed.
According to Ben, Jamie “made” him drive 46 hours to meet up with the crew. He brought every board in his quiver so he’d be ready for anything. Yeah, they’ve done a few things together before, but this one’s different. “By far the biggest river wave I’ve ever seen in my life,” Ben says after laying eyes on the wave Jamie convinced him to drive all that way for. “How is this possible?!”
And of course, since they are vloggers, Ben made his own version of the same trip.
