A surf trip in the Mentawai Islands is on (or should be, anyway) every surfer’s bucket list. Even someone like Jamie O’Brien – who basically has his pick when it comes to waves anywhere on the planet – never tires of the surf there.
Waves like Lance’s Right, a wave so perfect it needs more than one name. Jamie’s got a pretty keen eye for catching the wave of the day, and in this particular session, he opted to sit a hell of a lot farther out than anyone else in the lineup.
While the waves weren’t as big as they can get there, it certainly looked as though it was a session that even someone with countless dream sessions under his belt will remember for a long, long time.
