Every winter there’s a standout surfer who bounces around the North Shore with an extra pep in their step. They have a certain energy and intensity in everything they do, and they’re seemingly incapable of making any kind of mistake. This year, that guy is Western Australia’s Jack Robinson. At only 17 years old, Jack made the semis at Sunset and earned a wildcard spot into the Billabong Pipe Masters, not to mention his free surfs, which were nothing short of amazing. Although Jack went down to Adriano de Souza in Round 2 this morning, the young man has been turning heads ever since he touched down in Honolulu.
