For many of us, getting even decent at surfing is a lifelong struggle, others are already looking for ways to make it harder. A recent clip posted to Instagram by Jack Coleman shows one of the latter types of people.
Coleman is a surf filmmaker known for his independence, artistry and style. His 2022 feature, Natural High earned praise for its beautiful photography of a murderers row of unique surfing talent. The flick features the likes of Ryan Burch, Derrick Disney, Stephanie Gilmore, Bryce Young, Ari Browne, Tosh Tudor, Gavin Beschen, Leah Dawson, and Andy Nieblas, to name a few. In a world of cookie-cutter edits set to forgettable music, Natural High and other efforts by Coleman stand out.
However, the most recent product of Coleman’s lens is of the more bite-sized variety. The social media clip features Taylor Watling, a Canadian surfer based in Puerto Escondido who is best known for taking to the waves hands-first. You can probably guess what he does next.
