When there’s a big south in the water, there aren’t too many places that do it like Puerto Escondido. And when Puerto Escondido is doing its thing, there aren’t too many surfers who do it like Ivan Florence. The quieter brother oozes a cool, calm, collectedness when the waves turn up a notch, and there’s no better example than a pair of bombs Ivan recently stroked into in Mexico.
“You guys know the drill,” brother Nathan wrote on YouTube. “Mister Cool simply exists and cool shit happens. He surfs? Well, he gets the wave of the day of course!”
In the video above, Ivan was riding an 8’0″ Puerto Padi model quad while Nathan paddled out on a 7’0″ version of the same board. And both definitely put those surfboards to good use.
