Maybe this’ll be the year somebody tops Koa Smith’s octotube. Granted, that was just barely a year ago now, so it’s not like the world has been waiting on pins and needles for an eternity to see such a feat repeated (or topped). Nonetheless, only one wave is really capable of giving us such viral joy and that’s Skeleton Bay. Coincidentally, we’re also sitting in prime season for such elements to come together in Namibia, which the folks at ZagTV reminded the Youtube world of with an undercover mission to West Africa.
They didn’t score Skeleton Bay at its biggest, but boy did they still score. Anything that produces barrels this long doesn’t need to be overhead to get our toes curling. Now we just sit and wait for a few sizable swells to stroll through and pollute our social media feeds with mindblowing highlights.
