The Inertia

At the age of 21, I was living in Florida, working at a nine-to-five job for a large corporation. Seeking relief and solace from the daily grind, I took up surfing as a hobby, and was immediately captivated and entranced by the beauty of the ocean. Inspired by a newfound passion for surfing and waves, I set out to capture their shared essence through photography.

My pursuit of ocean waves led me to Hawaii—the very birthplace of surfing—and while visiting the Islands, I decided it was time to make a change. In a leap of faith, I left my job, parted with all of my possessions, and embarked on a path in pursuit of my true passion.

Equipped with only a backpack, laptop, and minimal camera equipment, I set off to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Three years later, I’m still just in love with this place as I was when I first laid eyes on it. Many of the photos above are of the incredible scenery I find myself surrounded in.
