The Search is something that exists perfectly in surfing. It captures what most of us are looking for — a sort of endless journey seeking something that doesn’t actually exist: perfection. But although actually finding that perfect wave is something that would be pretty damn good, looking for it is where the perfection really lies.
Rip Curl’s long-running search features Mason Ho and Mick Fanning, the unlikeliest of pairs. And this time, with the help of the Red Monkey Full Moon and a bit of time traveling, they headed to Indonesia. When this first hit the airwaves, it was only available for 48 hours.
