The Inertia

The last little while has been good for surfers in Bali. Very good. A run of swell not seen in decades coupled with a startling lack of surfers made for absolute dream days at some of the best waves in the world.

Take, for example, August 8th at Impossibles. “Head high sets with the odd bigger one mostly peeling down the reef at a manageable pace,” wrote Surfers of Bali on YouTube. “Both the wind and tide trended down as we approached sunset, making for even smoother conditions and the ‘one more wave’ call more difficult than usual.”
