New Jersey isn’t exactly a surf tourism destination. It’s fickle. It’s cold. The wind howls and the air freezes. But when it’s on… it is ON. Ben Gravy knows that, and despite the fact that he travels the globe hunting big waves, small waves, weird waves, and any other kind of waves, to him, there’s no place like home. So when a huge swell showed up on the forecast, Gravy made sure his wetsuits were dry and the PWC was gassed up.
“The surf has been all time at home and we’ve decided that we’re tired of not catching the set of the day so I’m breaking out my Seadoo Wave Runner to see what we can do,” he wrote. “Hopefully this winter keeps churning out the big waves.”
It’s almost a sure bet that the winter still has plenty on offer, and you can be sure that Ben will be there to get it.
