If you’re tired of the same old weight lifting, sprinting, stretching, etc. fitness routine, try this way to keep things…interesting. Recently Laird Hamilton, Gabby Reece, and Brian Mackenzie have teamed up to create a complete fitness training program called XPT (Extreme Performance Training). The program combines water workouts, land workouts, and air enhancing routines like breathing, heat, and ice for a completely comprehensive lifestyle program. The XPT Instagram account shared this video from a couple days ago of a training session held on a Malibu beach. Instead of working with weights or straps, the typical things you’d expect of a beach workout, the crew found a decent- sized LOG TO DRAG THROUGH THE SAND. These guys were sprinting 300 meters with a chest harness strapped to a log. No doubt this builds some serious strength, and it certainly epitomizes the saying “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” This workout would without question be the end of me, but if you’re looking for an extreme way to spice up your fitness life, head over to XPT.com for more info.
