I got to the Wedge this morning super late after being stuck in traffic for almost three hours. Once I got there, there were only about 45 minutes of clear skies before the fog slammed the coastline, causing me to seek waves and good shots elsewhere. I hopped over to another beach just south and ran into Blair Conklin. Then, as luck would have it, some tourists nearly drowned after they got on their boogies and paddled straight into a huge double overhead set. Thanks to the lifeguard’s quick response time, these guys made it out alive. It was a super fun day, even if my plans took a slight deviation.
