Kai Lenny doesn’t care if you think SUP surfing is for kooks. He doesn’t care because Kai’s not a person who does things to impress people — he does things that he thinks are fun, and it just so happens that those things he finds to be fun often impress people. If it’s a board and it’ll go on a wave, he’s riding it. And it’s likely that he’s very good at riding it. Kai took a trip to the other side of the island to find waves, and he did just that. Then, he rekindled his passion for SUP surfing at Hookipia, and it’s clear that his skill hasn’t gone anywhere.
