It’s not often the Pacific Ocean pukes massive waves at Hawaii and the North Shore of Oahu is overshadowed by…well, by anything. But considering Jaws has enjoyed a completely insane and historical week, you’re excused if you didn’t fix your gaze upon the Seven Mile Miracle for about 48 hours.
That doesn’t mean the North Shore was shut down by any means, though. And it’s preeminent big wave enjoyed what was probably its biggest day of the season thus far. So while the Big Wave Tour was busy getting busy on Monday, Waimea turned on. The forecast called for 35-foot-plus waves and even though that didn’t match up to Maui’s most famous big wave Monday, you can’t deny that watching these highlights from the Bay (shot by SkyStudioHawaii) are a smile-worthy reminder that winter’s finally in full swing on the North Shore.
