Videographer Steve Cummings admits this is a “pretty lazy way to surf” but we’re probably all in agreement with him that it’s also pretty rad. Cummings, who’s from Southern California and is spending the winter months in Portugal, recently spent the day watching from the cliff atop the world’s heaviest wave on a day that was far from heavy.
Here’s some drone footage of Nazaré on an afternoon that’s more appropriate for the average human, with calm conditions and your typical, everyday-sized waves, and just a good old-fashioned run of jet ski step offs. If this doesn’t look like a fun day at Nazaré, nothing will.
