When a decent-sized south swell makes its way across the ocean to Desert Point, hearts beat a little faster. Desert Point, as you know, is one of the finest waves this planet has to offer, and this time of year is getting a little late in the season for south swells. It’s likely, in fact, that the one you see above will be the last real one of the season. But because the swell was late in the season, it meant that many people who normally surf there are gone now. So for those who were there to enjoy it on September 27, the crowds were light, the waves were amazing, and the session was a memorable one.
