The Inertia

A long, long time ago, Kelly Slater wasn’t the owner of more titles than anyone else. He wasn’t the man who made a perfect wave in a pool 100 miles from the ocean. He wasn’t the man who we know today. He wasn’t the GOAT. A long, long time ago, Kelly Slater was just a kid who was way better than everyone else at surfing.

Then, as time went on, he slowly started to become the Kelly we know today. When Taylor Steele shot Loose Change, Kelly had just won his fifth consecutive world title. He was at the top of the food chain, so like Taylor Steele says, “if he wants to run over Rob Machado with the top down of his convertible Beamer… he pretty much can.”
