Are you one of those people who never gets rid of a surfboard? Do they sit, sad and dusty, begging to be taken off the rack like they were when they were new? Well, here’s their (and your) chance. The Gudauskas brothers, purveyors of froth, want to take it off your hands and put it in the hands of someone else who’ll appreciate it a whole lot more than you.
The Gudauskas brothers, of course, run a charity called the Positive Vibe Warriors. In short, they are “dedicated to connecting our youth to the ideals of ocean education and water safety with a passion for environmental preservation.”
For the entirety of September, PVW is running a surfboard dive for South African kids called “Can’t Steal Our Vibe”.
“The donated surfboards will be going to benefit Waves For Change and the Surfers Not Street Children,” the brothers explained. “Organizations in South Africa that provide safe spaces, caring mentors and a provision of weekly surf therapy sessions to give vulnerable children the skills to cope with stress, build healing relationships and make positive life choices.”
