Yes, we know World Surf League, you’ve had some moments this year. But do you need to rub it in everyone’s faces? The answer must be and emphatic, yes, as the League is counting down it’s 50 greatest moments (or some arbitrary number) of 2019 for a year-end special on social media. And yes, there’s some worthy moments – Italo taking it to Gabriel in the end-all heat of the year at pipe, John John’s throwaway air that threw away his season (and his ACL), the interference(s) heard the world over, etc., etc., etc.
But this one might be the most interesting? Kelly Slater, riding goofy-foot, in the barrel he created. He doesn’t look to bad riding switch.
