Most of us break out the soft tops when it’s time to goof around in subpar surf, not when we’re chasing barrels. At least that’s the prevailing thought. Then again, if you’re going to stroke into something unpredictable that’ll run you through the wash machine, a foamie might not be the worst possible thing to risk snapping in half.
On the flip side of that argument, lining up some slab barrels on from atop a stubby 5′ soft top doesn’t exactly sound easy. Here’s Jay Davies doing it anyway, putting the Average Joes to shame.
