If you weren’t under a rock in a dark cave with your eyes squeezed shut and cotton jammed in your ears, you probably saw Conner Coffin’s incredible party wave with dolphins at The Box. It took place during the Margaret River Pro, and it was pretty much the pinnacle of awesome. Firing waves at The Box are awesome enough, but when you throw a pod of surfing dolphins and a live broadcast in the mix, well, you’ve got something that doesn’t happen too often.
Of course, we did get to hear Coffin’s thoughts on it during his post-heat interview (“Oh my God, this is insane!”), but now, thanks to the Coffin brothers’ vlog, Your Weekly Tube, we get to see before, during, and after at a depth we didn’t before. Highlights include a few sneaky travel tips, a non-heat session at The Box, a reasonably epic paddle battle, and of course, “that” wave.
