Before Dave Rastovich was the souliest soul surfer to ever soul surf, he was a regular high-performance guy. He rode thrusters, competed in contests, and maybe, just maybe, got mad when he lost. Way back then, before he was the half man half dolphin chimera we know today, he had a part in Taylor Steele’s 2001 film, Momentum: Under the Influence that serves as a reminder of where Rasta came from—but looking back, even then the direction his surfing was going to take was obvious.
