Hawaii is a wonderful place. For a tourist, it’s like a postcard. All swaying palms and balmy weather, beautiful beaches and umbrella drinks. Poke bowls and coconut water. Aloha shirts and aloha. It’s different for those who live there — still a wonderful place — but it’s a little more real. It’s a funny thing, though. Perhaps in Hawaii more than anywhere else, tourists don’t want to look like tourists. And so they incorporate Hawaiian things to a maddening degree. It’s like the guy who goes to Australia for a month and comes home calling everyone “mate.” Well, Trevor Wallace, a hilarious fella on YouTube, has a take on it… and it’s pretty bang on.
