Way back in the Mesolithic era of 2010, Pat Gudauskas was the first surfer to pull a rodeo flip in World Tour Competition. At the Billabong Pro Tahiti of all places. Surfing – and Pat – have come a long way since then. But the breakthrough is emblematic of Pat’s approach to his craft. While he has an unmistakable Gudauskas glow about him, he also has a no-bullshit drive to be the best surfer in the world – no matter the conditions. His performance at the 2015 Peahi Big Wave Challenge fit that desire well.
We caught up with Pat at the VANS house last winter in our (HEADSPACE) series. Enjoy.
