For those of you who love to hate on SUPs and foils and any other alternative surf craft or theory, we have a new scape goat for you. This is Chad Ellingham pulling a crazy maneuver that may or may not be hazardous to the health of other surfers in a lineup (most likely, it is). Ellingham uses his ski to step off in what looks to be empty beach break (so give the guy a break before you jump to conclusions). Taking the danger factor out of it, the athletic feet is truly impressive. But how does he get back to the ski? And this obviously can’t be done in big surf, right?
