Father’s Day is a good day. Dad’s often play an integral role in who people turn out to be, so we got some of our favorite people to write a few words about their dads. And since they can say it much better than we can, here they are:

GREG

Rusty, Dad, and Greg.

Greg Long: Respect, compassion, tolerance, forgiveness, sacrifice, humor, gratitude, patience, acceptance, honesty, confidence, discipline, determination, preparation, humility, happiness…these are but a few of life’s principles that my Pops has both taught and shown me.

Coupled with the gift of surfing and appreciation for the ocean and the rest of the natural beauty and wonder this earth bestows upon us, an explanation of how grateful I am can only be surmised by that feeling that is impossible to capture through words alone: Love… nothing but love.  Happy Father’s Day, Pops!  And to all the rest of you out there who are guiding lights to the next generations.

Rusty Long: My brother and I couldn’t have been more fortunate in having such a good role model for a father! He opened the world for us and supported us in whatever we wanted to pursue while instilling the values and traits of being good people. Happy Father’s Day Pop!  I’m grateful every day!

Dad, Coco, and Mason.

Coco Ho: My dad is a 58-years-old, and he froths harder than any grom. That alone inspires me 1,000%

But what inspires me even more about my dad is the passion, care, and concern he has for us in our competitive careers. He wants nothing more than for us to know the ocean and believe in our strengths and that is what gets us by. He puts in every ounce of energy into every event and I feel so bad when we stress him out! Hahahahahaha!

We are so lucky… I love my dad.

Mason Ho: My dad inspires me to have the most fun that I can. Most of the time he’s acting like a kid having a blast in or out of the water, and that inspires me. He also inspires me to do my best in everything–I always want to make my pops, along with any other pops, proud.

Ian and Dad.

Ian Walsh: My dad is the foundation block to everything I know and aspire to be in this world. Without a shred of doubt, he is the single biggest influence I will ever have. He has shown all four of his boys the importance of work ethic and drive without words.

The Grays.

Alex Gray: My dad is the greatest of all time! He has always been there for my brother and I every step of the way. I am truly blessed with incredible parents. Knowing that my dad will always be there is the most comforting feeling in the world. A father’s love is so special, and I’m the luckiest kid in the world to have my dad!
