Sunny Garcia is a family man. He’s a grandfather, a father, a husband and, still, he finds time to surf. And yes, he still rips. He admits that he tried to push his children into surfing at a very young age – before they could walk. It didn’t work in his favor and now with a grandson – Sunny Garcia Jr – he’s taken himself out of the decision-making process. Obviously, having Sunny Garcia as your surf coach would be a boon, but pushing an infant into anything could easily backfire. As he’s learned.
