If one were describe the conditions that Mason Ho surfed here, they might call them “ice cold oil.” That’s how Mason described them, anyway. This is the third installment of Mason’s Medieval Madness, a multi-part offering that documents Mason’s journey to a wave he surfed a decade ago.
As the story goes, about ten years ago, Mason Ho went on a surf trip. He was on the trip with Sunny Garcia and Chris Ward when they first spotted a little slab that, to the untrained eye, didn’t look all that rideable. “While watching it, Mason mentioned the wave might be rideable,” Mason’s YouTube channel explains. “That’s when Wardo and Uncle Sunny made a simple bet with Mason and it was… ‘Let’s see it!'”
And see it they did. Now we get to see it the way Mason sees it, thanks to this GoPro POV footage.
