Drop-ins are one of the most frustrating parts of surfing. Not quite as frustrating as, say, blowing the pop-up on a set wave of the day when you’re the only person far enough out to get it and the rest of the lineup is watching, but still very frustrating. And since the boog/surfer battle is a tale as old as time, some surfers would be a little more incensed if the drop-in offender happened to be of the prone variety. Like the surfer above, who, on a busy Wednesday morning at D-Bah, did not take kindly to watching a boogie boarder take off in front of him. Although it looks as though the punch whiffed a bit, the surfer definitely didn’t pull that punch, and if it connected… well, it would have hurt. LPT, kids: don’t drop in and don’t punch people, even if they drop in.
