On the evening of Friday the 13th, surfers got lucky when a monstrosity of swell filtered in over North Shore reefs. The huge pack of surfers in the lineup at Pipe and Backdoor scored some of the most impressive barrels and descended massive second and third reef mountains as a fiery sunset illuminated the sky behind them.
