The Inertia

It’s been a long time coming for a decent swell to hit the Long Island beaches and Hurricane Florence brought just that. Although it wasn’t the biggest or the best of surf, it’s certainly exactly what East Coast surfers have been waiting for.

This series of images were captured from Lido or Long Beach, which are both located on Long Island. Florence offered up some consistent six to eight-foot waves through most of Thursday but somehow, the storm came and went like an illusionist performing a disappearing act.

Hopefully this is the start of consistent fall swells for the East Coast.
