Any slab you go to around the world, there’s a good chance you’ll run into at least one Florence brother. Nate’s perpetual slab tour takes him to virtually every surfable (and many un-surfable) breaks around the world, sometimes accompanied by his younger brother Ivan. However, the latest video from the middle Florence child documented a rarer sight – all three Florence brothers sharing the same lineup, including John John.
The event took place somewhere in Caithness, a county in northern Scotland (judging by footage of a visit the brothers took to Harrow). The region is a favorite of Nathan’s, with him logging a serious amount of tube time there last winter. The three brothers took part in a friendly “superheat” of sorts in treacherous cold-water slabs.
The session even yielded some innovation on the part of the brothers, with Florence explaining in a YouTube comment that “The tide started to make the drops extremely difficult and we wanted to try some of the bigger ones, so we started pushing each other in. Literally it worked so well we were tripping! Might try on a tow day at Chopes next?”
