For the eleventh time, the waves of Cloudbreak and Restaurants will host the World’s best surfers, offering heavy barrels and opportunities for big carves.
Although he comes to Fiji as World Number 1, the last time Kelly Slater missed a final throughout the first four stops on tour was 2007. Given his track record of four wins on the Fijian breaks, two of them in the last two contests, we can expect something big from the King. Can he do the hat-trick, winning this year’s event?
Also worth mentionning is the incredible performance of CJ Hobgood over the years, counting two finals (which he lost) and eight semi-finals in ten years.
