This is a portrait of fall in New Jersey, where surfers were gifted with a surplus of ground swells in November. Although the waves were consistent, at times the unfavorable winds forced us to seek out a hidden window for surf that we could not predict. There were gambles and numerous car rides that served as a waste of time, but the anticipation of the conditions alone gave me my drive to find the right wave.
