$After opening my gallery five years ago, I ventured on my first photography assignment to Fiji. This image was my second award-winning image. $In all my time shooting underwater photography, I\'ve never had such an amazing encounter with turtles like this. In January this year, I headed to Hawaii to really focus on my nature photography. We had this magic day at Pipeline where the water was pristine and the swell was small enough to allow the Green Turtles to feed off the reef. $I added this image because I love the mood attached to it. I head to this place when the water is clear enough. $Just before New Years in 2013, Lennox Head had a massive bushfire. I didn\'t know what to expect from my aerials other than destruction of the scrub land. In the distance, I could see this surreal composition. At first, I captured it at 45 degrees then looking straight over the top of the area, I noticed this amazing contrast. This image is currently a finalist at the Natural History Museum\'s Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in London under \"Nature\'s Environments.\" Photo: <a href=\"http://craigparryphotography.com/\">Craig Parry</a>$

We’ve chosen to focus our relaunch around the theme: EVOLVE. Transformation is core to who we are, and we put it out to The Inertia’s influencers and most talented contributors to share moments that caused significant personal growth and transformation – ideally with some relation to surfing, but also to life in general.
