The Inertia

The final stop of the Challenger Series was one for the books. Surfers from around the world gathered on the North Shore of Oahu to compete at Haleiwa and fight for the final spots on the Championship Tour. Mother Nature provided, delivering warm weather and pumping waves, resulting in incredible performances by all. One of the most impressive waves was one John John Florence nabbed in the semi-finals where he did a perfect bottom turn into a solid barrel to earn a 9.83. Florence went on to win the event, alongside Sophie McCulloch for the women.

In the above video you can see every wave that scored in the excellent range from Haleiwa. It was a good weekend to be competing at the North Shore’s premier performance spot.
