The Inertia

Trevor Gordon and I had been talking about getting up the coast for a while, and when he told me about his Woody and the Blue Ox project, we decided it was a perfect time.

Trevor picked me up in Tofino we hung out for a few days, then headed north. The Canada portion of the trip took around ten days. We didn’t score crazy waves… but were kinda blessed with weather and decent waves, too. Up north is definitely a magical place.

My favorite part of the whole trip was the freedom of traveling and camping in the truck. We could decide where we were going to camp as the sun was going down. We did really luck out with the weather, especially for the trip being in October. Also how united the north seems against oil tankers freighting oil from out coast to the West. Lots of any tanker signs and messages everywhere.

Even though it was an amazing experience, being away from my wife and daughter was hard. I just  wish they could have come on the adventure.
