Erin Brooks doesn’t win every contest she enters. But when she does finish well in a contest, it seems to happen in spectacular fashion. Thus was the case at the Gold Coast Pro Yesterday, where Brooks defeated Luana Silva in the final and earned herself a 10,000-point head start in qualifying for the 2025 Championship Tour.
But the 16-year-old really set the fireworks off in her semifinal win against Isabella Nichols in which she notched a perfect 10 at the barreling right-hand centerpiece of Australian performance surfing. And it was on her backhand. The drop was critical, and she traveled in the barrel for a good four count before coming out clean and executing some celebratory turns.
You can witness the perfection, in the above cut, and find the rest of the highlights here.
