Surfing in cold water is a lifestyle built upon patience–waiting for the right moment to understand the meaning and why it is what we do. To some, this is a bizarre notion, but for the few who embrace it, it’s simply a way of life. For those few, they seek places with no crowds, no buildings. These are places where quiet is stronger than noise. It’s places that make you feel small. Larger than life. Cold and remote. We hunt and embrace the journey, because sometimes that’s all you have to hold onto. Countless hours of searching just to find waves that are ageless. It’s a constant battle against the cold. Sessions become short-lived when you can no longer feel your extremities, but this is where our hearts beat strongest: in solitude, because it’s simply worth embracing.
