The Inertia

Rocky Point is one of the premier waves on one of the premier stretches of sand in the world. It’s a jewel in the North Shore crown — not a wave that will kill you like Pipeline, or a wave that will crush your bones like Sunset or Waimea but a wave that’s just straight-up perfect. It’s a magnet on that seven-mile stretch, and it can get a little crowded sometimes, but that’s just part and parcel of good waves, a lot of surfers, and a place that revolves around surfing. Luckily, for the most part, everyone knows the rules, and things go relatively smoothly, but sometimes… well, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes, people drop in. And sometimes, you just gotta hit them to pass them.

The rest of Eli Olson’s vlog installment is pretty much business as usual: surfing, laughing, and a little bit of Brett Barley. Good days on the North Shore, right?
