Doc Paskowitz led an incredible life. He had a big hand in kicking off the traveling surfer movement. He laid the foundations of surf camps all over the world. He brought surfing to Israel, and worked tirelessly to establish peace between Palestine and Israel – along with Kelly Slater, he founded Surfing for Peace. He was a Stanford educated doctor, a devout Jew, a husband and a father. He has given more to the world than most people will, and now Juliette, his wife of 55 years, needs your help. In the words of the family:

In the 93 years that Doc Dorian Paskowitz has lived on this earth he has committed himself completely to the betterment of his family, the Jewish people and the world as a whole through his dedication to Health and Fitness, his Spirit of Aloha and the Wisdom he has learned from the waves. He leaves us all with the inheritance of The Sea, Ohana (Family), and the love for one another, Jew or Palestinian, that we cherish so greatly. However, not a penny more than that.
We, the brothers and sisters of his family, ask that YOU who share in his legacy with us show your gratitude with a small tribute to Juliette Paskowitz, his most loyal wife of 55 years, in lieu of flowers or a gift. Lets all let her know what Doc has meant to us all… in the way she needs it most right now!
